Lessons Learned in the Snow

Colorado Springs has been getting quite a bit of snow lately…well, a lot of snow for me. I don’t know if it’s really a lot of snow for the locals. Driving has been quite an experience for me but good thing I have Florida plates on the car still, it gives me an excuse for being a horrible driver (in the snow I mean). My garage is undergoing some remodeling so all of my crap in sitting in the center of the garage while my poor car has to sit out in the cold. It took me 30 minutes to defrost, deice, and desnow my vehicle the other day and I was late for work. I’ve learned (the hard way) that you should pull your windshield wipers out so they don’t freeze to the windshield, and you should brush off the snow above the door prior to opening it otherwise the snow will fall into your seat and you have to sit in it. And if you don't brush off the hood the snow will just fly up into the windshield making it difficult to see. Ahhhh fun fun.

Especially the brush the snow off of the top of your door. That is like the most annoying thing ever...having to sit in a pile of snow...that turns into a very cold puddle of water...on your way to work...and you TRIED to brush it off before you left for work, but MAN, I'm gonna be late...that's not THAT much snow...it won't be bad...yeah. Now my left butt cheek has frostbite, and it's not even 7 o'clock yet. It's gonna be a GREAT day. Been there, done that!
