To Stay or Not to Stay?

As of today it looks as though I will be calling my current location home for the next 6 months but that could change at a moments notice. I volunteered for a job assisting the webmaster and the base help desk which is a higher level of the same job that I do back home. I'm excited, not only because I have something to do from 8-8 daily, but I'm going to learn a lot here that will better my AF career. I'm still sour about the living conditions (pictured below) but I just need to suck it up for a few more weeks until a hut becomes available. I will eventually have my own cubicle with some room to unpack. I had to say goodbye to some of my new friends this morning. They are going down range to different locations and I may or may not get to see them again before we leave here. Please keep them in your prayers as some of them are going to some not so safe locations.

Dude, you need to clean that place up! I recognize your grandma's blanky! That must be nice to have all the way over there. Stay safe!

And Steph,
Trust me, when you're in a place like that, you WANT to work from 8-8. There's nothing else to do!

Jen, can you guys at least have a beer every once in a while?

Em,
I love you and miss you so much. Please send me some pictures of you and your sister.
I love you!

Steph,
Like Brian said, I don't mind the 8-8 shifts at all. We stay pretty busy and there really isn't anything else to do when you're not working. As for the extra pay...well, I do get some additional mulah in my wallet for being here plus my pay is all tax free while I'm in country.

Brian,
No beer :( but I get to go to Qutar for R&R for 4 days (don't know when yet) and we can drink there.
